    Driver killed in car crash in Archer Heights on city’s Southwest Side overnight, police say

    CHICAGO — A male driver was killed in a car crash overnight in Archer Heights on the city’s Southwest Side.

    Teen shot in Bronzeville near Bud Billiken Parade route, charges announced

    According to Chicago police, the male was driving south in a silver sedan in the 3600 block of West 47h Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday when he disregarded a traffic light entering an intersection. A white SUV driven by another male and going north then struck the silver sedan, police say.

    The driver of the silver sedan sustained severe head trauma in the crash, according to police. Chicago Fire Department personnel arrived on scene to treat the male and transport him to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
