    Man charged with robbing Evanston bank

    EVANSTON, Ill. – A man has been charged in federal court with robbing a bank in Evanston and trying to rob a bank in Chicago on back-to-back days this month.

    The U.S. Attorney’s Office said 64-year-old Jeffrey Sulaski robbed an Associated Bank branch in Evanston on Saturday, Aug. 3. A day earlier, Sulaski tried to rob a Huntington Bank branch in Chicago.

    Man sought for robbing 2 suburban banks

    At the time of the crimes, Sulaski was on court-supervised release after serving prison time for a prior bank robbery conviction.

    According to the indictment, Sulaski has been charged with one count of bank robbery and one count of attempted bank robbery. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, Aug. 29 at 2:30 p.m.
