GRAMBLING, La. ( KTVE/KARD ) — On Thursday, August 22, 2024, Grambling State University officially opened its digital library on campus. According to officials, the new library is the first of its kind in the state of Louisiana.

The $16.6 million digital library is also the first library of its kind at a historically black college institution. The library has approximately 150 computer stations, a large study space, and a multi-purpose space for events, meetings, and seminars.

They can use this building to do their traditional studying. They can access resources and materials for research. They can partner for group studying and classrooms. They can go to our innovation lab and think about new business ideas. If they don’t have a laptop, they can rent a laptop out.

Dr. Martin Lemelle, President of Grambling State University
