1 hospitalized in I-10 and I-610 18-wheeler crash

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — One person has been hospitalized following a crash that occurred at the intersection of interstates 10 and 610 on the morning of Saturday, Aug. 31.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the accident, which involved an 18-wheeler and another vehicle on the westbound side of I-10, happened just before 9 a.m.

One person was taken to a hospital by New Orleans EMS.

Investigators have closed all lanes for I-10 westbound at I-610 because of the accident. Drivers are told to take another route.
