USACE Vicksburg District Announces Special Archery Deer Hunt at Arkabutla Lake
VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District announces a special archery deer hunt at Arkabutla Lake on October 18-20 and 25-27, 2024. The event will feature two three-day hunts. Applicants must have a valid Mississippi hunting license. Applications are available at the Arkabutla Lake Field Office and online here.
Accident with Fuel Spill on 61 at North Washington
Just after 8 a.m. an 18-wheeler made contact with another 18-wheeler on 61 North in front of Country Junction. There are injuries reported in the accident and a fuel spill from the 18-wheeler. The fuel is spilling from the tractor’s fuel tank and not from a trailer. MDEQ and MEMA have been dispatched to the scene to assist with the clean up.
