Opening in the Marina Village at Bahia Mar: Taco Vibez

Marina Village at Bahia Mar will soon start rolling out its long-awaited food hall concepts. The food hall is expected to open in May with roughly half of its food vendors in operation, says recent coverage by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel , while the rest will open later in the summer.

The new food hall will feature concepts like dumpling brand Yip , Blue Steel Pizza Co. , Fresh Garden Bowls , and Burgers & Shakes . Three additional concepts were announced last month : Taco Vibez , Sushi Song , and Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls .

Let’s take a closer look at a few of these brands.

Founded in 2020 by CEO Hector Torres , Taco Vibez built a following at Pompano Beach ’s The Bite Eatery —where, according to the Sun-Sentinel , it has closed. The location at the Marina Village at Bahia Mar is therefore a relaunch of this taco concept, which offers “ vibrant flavors, warm hospitality, and the true essence of Mexican cuisine .”

Taco Vibez has served up tacos with a wide range of protein choices and flavor profiles. Served two-per-order, or as a platter with rice and beans, these taco varieties include Pollo/Chicken ( White Onion, Caramelized Onion, Cilantro ), Carnitas/Pork ( White Radish, Cilantro, Pickled Red Onion ), Al Pastor ( Marinated Pork, Roasted Pineapple, Onion, Cilantro ), and Tuna ( Ahi Tuna, Tossed in Tosazu Sesame Oil, Serrano Chili, Mexican  Guacamole. )

“At Taco Vibez, our story is a fusion of passion, tradition, and innovation,” says the brand’s website —one in which “CEO and founder Hector Torres wanted to share a deep love for Mexican food and a dream of bringing the best of it to South Florida.”

What Now reached out to Hector Torres on Friday to inquire about plans for the Marina Village location. Torres was not immediately available for comment.
