Cafe Commerce is gearing up to open in the near future. Located at 964 Lexington Ave, this American cuisine concept is reviving the essence of what Chef Harold Moore had at his previous concept, Commerce .  The restaurant’s Instagram page indicates that Cafe Commerce will open this fall.

A new liquor license application filed with Community Board 8 notes that Cafe Commerce will have a full kitchen and does not plan to have outdoor seating for the time being.

Open from 2008 to 2015, Commerce was a cornerstone of the West Village culinary scene. Some of the dishes at Cafe Commerce will nod to the old menu at Commerce including Harold’s Famous Chicken, the bread program, steak Diane and coconut cake. The menu will have new items as well. In addition to creating Commerce, Moore also pioneered Bistro Pierre Lapin and Harold’s .

A statement shared with What Now NY from the Cafe Commerce team reads, “The neighborhood restaurant is decidedly not fine-dining but instead offers an array of approachable, high-level culinary and beverage choices in a relaxed environment – a perfect every day spot for locals or intimate space toasting to special occasions.”

A representative for Cafe Commerce confirmed the restaurant will open on September 10.
