Hook & Anchor, a Newport Beach seafood spot known for its fresh and flavorful dishes, is gearing up for a relocation. The restaurant will be closing shop at its current property and moving operations to 1773 Newport Blvd in neighboring Costa Mesa.

The business announced the update on its social media pages last week, and has posted ads announcing open interviews to hire more staff for the new location. Hook & Anchor is looking for positions ranging from host/hostess to seasoned servers and bartenders.

“Hook & Anchor is proud to announce that we are moving locations in April. We will be leaving our Newport Beach location and moving into a much larger footprint that includes a full bar, located just a mile up the street. We will carry some of the favorites from our Newport Beach location, and add items such as; appetizers/shareable plates, raw seafood bar, full bar, dry-aged steaks, and much more,” the company wrote.

The family-run joint offers no-reservation dining with options for table service upon request. It specializes in fresh, scratch-made marine cuisine, and is recognized for its lobster rolls. Hook & Anchor has been awarded the title of best seafood restaurant numerous times.
