    Body of missing swimmer at Madison Lakes found

    UPDATE: 3:30 p.m.

    The body of the 19-year-old who went missing while swimming at Madison Lakes has been recovered.

    Trotwood Fire Department Public Information Officer Ralph Bowman confirmed with News Center 7 shortly before 3:30 p.m. that Luis Fernando Montes Padilla Hondureño has been found.

    Crews are continuing their search for a 19-year-old who went missing while swimming at Madison Lakes.

    News Center 7 is following the search and will have the latest on News Center 7 at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.

    Around 8:12 a.m. Monday Trotwood Fire crews continued their search for the man who was identified as Luis Fernando Montes Padilla Hondureño, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Sergeant.

    Hondureño disappeared while swimming across Madison Lake on Saturday.

    Trotwood fire was originally called out around 12:25 p.m. on Saturday and continued their search just after 8 a.m. on Sunday.

    “Starting today [Monday], our teams will conduct daily checks of the area for the next few weeks to ensure that all possible avenues are explored,” Trotwood Fire Department Public Information Officer Ralph Bowman said in a release.
