45-year-old woman critically injured after stabbing; 1 in custody

UPDATE @ 4 p.m.:

A woman is in critical condition after a stabbing in Preble County Monday morning.

Around 11:50 a.m. Preble County Sheriff’s Office and Gratis Police Department were called to Parrish Drive for reports of a “domestic situation”, according to Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson.

When police got on scene they noticed a woman in the driveway that had been stabbed.

The 45-year-old woman, who deputies said lived at the home, was flown to Miami Valley Hospital with critical injuries.

A man, who also lived at the home, was taken into custody.

Deputies said they will forward their investigation to the prosecutor’s office for charges.

The relationship between the man and woman was not disclosed.

Deputies are investigating after a person was stabbed in Preble County.

Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson confirmed with News Center 7 that crews are on the scene of a domestic situation involving a stabbing on Parrish Drive.

The victim was flown to the hospital by CareFlight.

One person was taken into custody.
