    TRENDING STORIES:

A newly obtained 911 call from a neighbor detailed what they saw happen.

“We pulled out right as it happened, I seen the car pull up and just start shooting someone that was trying to sell something,” the caller said.

Just a few blocks away, police were investigating a “hit and run” crash at Eichelberger and Peach Tree avenues.

“It took off north on Arlene (Avenue)…And the whole front end of that Kia is smashed. There’s no plates on there or anything. Like they just totaled the car. I don’t even know how its still hardly driving,” the caller said.

News Center 7 is working to confirm if the crash was related to the initial shots fired.

Neighbors told News Center 7′s Malik Patterson that they don’t like to be outside because of the violence.

Anthony Davidson lives in Dayton and said things like this aren’t uncommon.

“Shooting after shooting, we’re hearing robberies. You know, this is crazy,” Davidson said.

Davidson said he moved his family back to Dayton to be closer to other family members.

“We just moved in February, and we’re already ready to move again, honestly,” he said.

Other neighbors said they hear gunshots all the time, but they just hope it doesn’t involve someone they know.

“Honestly, the world is messed up nowadays,” Davidson said.

He said he loves this city, but his children’s futures are more important.

“They’re wanting to move back up to Michigan, where their uncle is, because they’re, for some of them, afraid to even go outside,” Davidson said.

News Center 7 has reached out to Dayton Police for more information on this incident but has not heard back.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt here.
