Barry O jamming some Morgan Wallen
? Every year, former president Barack Obama reveals what he's been listening to on his summer playlist. There's usually a good mix on there, but he pretty much always includes a few country songs...er, at least songs from country artists...on his playlist. And this year was no different. Surely the one that's going to raise eyebrows is Morgan Wallen's collaboration with Moneybagg Yo, "Whiskey Whiskey." Not because it's weird that a former president is listening to a song called "Whiskey Whiskey," but because Morgan has obviously had his...well, issues in the past. Everybody remembers back in 2021 when the country music superstar was caught on video dropping a racial slur, and subsequently suspended from his label and dropped from radio. Many still continue to brand Morgan (and anybody who listens to him) as racist, despite the fact that he's not only collaborated with several black artists since then, but his concerts are some of the most diverse country concerts I've ever been to. Obviously the former president is willing to forgive Morgan and move on - so much that he's even got him on his summer playlist. Along with Morgan, Obama's playlist also includes "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" by Shaboozey, and Beyonce's debut country single, "Texas Hold 'Em." https://twitter.com/BarackObama/status/1823091727348957440 As for Morgan, he's even been using "Whiskey Whiskey" during his walkout at his recent concerts, along with his viral hit with Lil Durk, "Broadway Girls." https://twitter.com/WhiskeyRiff/status/1817030299446133088 Seems like he's got 44's endorsement on the song choice.
