Lainey Wilson Loses The Man But Keeps The Ring In Teaser For Unreleased Song, “Ring Finger”

I'll be honest, it's really not a bad deal. Last night, Lainey Wilson shared a teaser of an unreleased song from her Whirlwind album that's due out everywhere this Friday, August 23rd, called "Ring Finger." It's a sassy, tongue-in-cheek tune where Lainey calls out all the girls who "had the balls to walk away from Earl" (a reference to the classic Chicks song "Goodbye Earl"), and how even though they might've lost their man, they got to keep the big 'ol rock: "This here song's for all the girls Who had the balls to walk away from Earl Bigger nuts than a redneck squirrel Let me hear it if you know what I mean Ya lost your man but you took the bling bling I got the ring, he got the finger..." A win is a win, amirite? The song has that classic Lainey humor and spark to it, and the production is funky and fun and right up the Louisiana native's alley. It reminds me a lot of her deep cut "Middle Finger" I actually wrote about just yesterday, and purely based on how much I love that one and this new one just based on the teaser, I can't wait to hear the full version of "Ring Finger" this Friday and can already tell it will be one of my favorites.
