That'll cause a backup. Over the weekend, Luke Bryan
played a show at at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, as part of his 2024 Mind Of A Country Boy Tour . But it didn't come without a few bumps in the road... quite literally. According to FOX 32 Chicago , a semi-truck carrying equipment that's part of Bryan's fleet got stuck under a bridge in downtown Chicago, at Irving and DuSable Lake Shore Drive, and the photo is pretty incredible: https://www.instagram.com/p/C_ENtdnPg_j/ Bailey Zimmerman, Tracy Lawrence, and Chayce Beckham opened the show, but hopefully, they got to soundcheck and still run on schedule, even though all the equipment clearly didn't make it in time. The local news outlet also reported that it caused a major traffic backup, which seems pretty obvious, and I guess the driver thought the clearance was just a little bit higher and he could make it? From the photos, it looks like he almost got the other side, because the very front of the truck is sticking out of the bridge. And I've never driven in downtown Chicago, but it seems like a pretty inconvenient place to have a massive truck like that get stuck. It's not the first time something like this has happened, either... in 2017, Bryan had a separate equipment truck get stuck in an overpass on a Long Island parkway, after a show at Jones Beach Theatre. Bryan's show still happened on Saturday night, and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Here's a little more on what happened: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0Ty69n9VS0
