    Tickets available for Wildflower Concert Series in White Mills; first concert is July 6

    Dorflinger’s 2024 Wildflower Concert Series begins Saturday, July 6, in the spacious outdoor amphitheater surrounded by tall pines and ferns on the grounds of the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary in White Mills.

    Concerts are held every Saturday evening through Aug. 17, along with a Wednesday evening concert, July 24. Concerts begin at 6 p.m.

    The lineup, as found on their website and in their brochure, includes:

    • Saturday, July 6 - Beginnings, a celebration of the music of Chicago
    • Saturday, July 13 - Sweet Baby James, a James Taylor tribute with Nashville musician Bill Griese
    • Saturday, July 20 - Morgan James, New York-based soul singer, songwriter and Broadway actress
    • Wednesday, July 24 - Green River, a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty
    • Saturday, July 27 - Kruger Brothers, Swiss bluegrass virtuosos
    • Saturday, Aug. 3 - Semekia Copeland, acclaimed American blues and soul vocalist
    • Saturday, Aug. 10 - Scythian, a Celtic Rock, Irish and Americana band
    • Saturday, Aug. 17 - Laurel Canyon Band, a celebration of the music of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young

    As stated in their brochure, seating opens at approximately 5 p.m., subject to sound checks and rehearsals being completed.

    Seating is on a first-come basis. Bring a lawn chair or blanket on which to sit. Food and beverages are permitted at all concerts unless it is being held indoors.

    If the weather requires, the performance may be held at the air-conditioned auditorium of Wallenpaupack Area High School. If in doubt on the day of the concert, call 570-253-5500.

    Parking is free. General admission tickets good for any concert are $26; students 12 to 18 years are $13. There is no charge for children 11 and under.

    You may buy tickets over the phone at 570-253-5500, Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or on Saturday of the concert from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They also may be purchased online at wildflowermusic.org ; in person at the Dorflinger Glass Museum Gift Shop, Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m.; or starting at 4:30 p.m. at the concert.
