Hinckley Reservoir Day Use Area, Million Dollar Beach Temporarily Closed Due to Storm Damage
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced the temporary closure of Hinckley Reservoir Day Use Area in Cold Brook, Herkimer County. Due to storm damage in the area occurring on the evening of July 16, the roadways leading to the facility are badly damaged and impassable. The facility will be closed to all patrons until further notice while crews work to repair damaged roadways.

Max Gartzke went 2-for-4 and drove in two runs to lead Utica to a 5-2 win over Footville on Sunday, July 14, to clinch the Southeast Section South Division championship. Utica punched its ticket to the playoffs for the first time since 2014. Gartzke hit a go-ahead two-run triple in the bottom of the fourth inning to propel the Association to a comeback win at Utica Community Park. A trio of markets have seen new Spanish language brands launch on HD Radio subchannels in the past few weeks. iHeartMedia launched “La Mezcla 94.9-HD2” on WZTU-HD2 Miami Beach. The station is running Spanish Mixes and promoting itself as “La Casa de los Miami Dolphins”.
