Teenage girl shot, injured after fight ends with gunfire in Montgomery County
A teenage girl was shot and injured after a fight broke out in Pottstown, Montgomery County.It happened at approximately 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on Myrtle Street in the Bright Hope Community.Officers say they responded to reports of a fight involving multiple teenage girls.According to police, shots were fired as a result of that dispute.When police arrived at the scene, officers found a 14-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound to her chest.She was treated at the scene and transported to a local trauma center. There is no word yet on her condition.Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact the Pottstown Police Department at 610-970-6574.

NORRISTOWN — A Philadelphia man saw his minimum prison term reduced by one year after a Montgomery County judge reconsidered the sentence she imposed last December after a jury convicted the man of charges he assaulted a Pottstown man with a metal pipe during a dispute in the borough.
New program streamlining protection from abuse orders shown to Souderton council
SOUDERTON — A new Montgomery County program to aid domestic violence survivors was highlighted at a Souderton Borough Council meeting. Titled “Hope Card,” the program provides a free, business-card-sized document to recipients of a final protection from abuse (PFA) order. The document lists key information from the order, including the names of the plaintiff and defendant, the issue date and the Protection from Abuse Database (PFAD) number, enabling law enforcement officials to quickly verify an active protective order in the event of a PFA violation.

Police said that on June 27, Steven Joseph Delpopolo was on Tabatha Drive when he tried to break into the front door and front windows of a house.
