Norristown man draws prison term for robbery attempt outside borough store
NORRISTOWN — A Norristown man faces state prison time after he admitted to his role in the attempted robbery of a woman outside a borough convenience store. Shawn Wilson, 20, of the 1000 block of Sterigere Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 15 to 54 months in a state correctional institution after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of conspiracy to engage in robbery in connection with an April 2023 incident outside a borough business.

NEW YORK/PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - Constellation Energy is in talks with the Pennsylvania governor's office and state lawmakers to help fund a possible restart of part of its Three Mile Island power facility, the site of a nuclear meltdown in the 1970s, three sources familiar with the discussions said on Tuesday. The conversations, which two sources described as "beyond preliminary," signal that Constellation is advancing plans to revive part of the southern Pennsylvania nuclear generation site, which operated from 1974 to 2019. The nuclear unit Constellation is considering restarting is separate from the one that melted down.

Water main break floods part of Oregon Avenue in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Part of Oregon Avenue in Philadelphia was inaccessible Wednesday after a water main break, fire dispatchers confirmed.The street was closed between 24th Street and 21st Street due to water in the road Wednesday morning. Later a lane opened up for drivers to get by.Members of the Philadelphia Fire Department are on the scene.A spokesperson for the Philadelphia Water Department said a 12-inch water main broke this morning at 23rd Street and Oregon Avenue. Crews shut down the main just after 7 a.m., impacting four properties, the spokesperson added.The department is also investigating another possible water main break in North Philadelphia.This is a developing story and will be updated.
