TOWN CREEK, Ala. (WHNT) — Meteorologist Jessica Camuto had the opportunity to visit students at Hatton Elementary Wednesday morning.

Jessica spoke to pre-k through sixth graders about what being a meteorologist is like. She told them she was one of five members of the Weather Authority team

The students learned about the water cycle, tornado development, lightning safety, and the difference between a watch and a warning.

When discussing weather safety, every student knew the safest place to be during severe storms and tornadoes. The monthly siren test was being conducted at the time of her visit and the students knew exactly what they needed to do.
