    Sheffield man arrested after over 200 fentanyl pills found in search

    TUSCUMBIA, Ala. (WHNT ) — The Colbert County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) says a man was arrested Monday after a search found over two hundred fentanyl pills.

    CCSO said Keyariss Malik McCarthur was arrested Monday and charged with drug trafficking and second-degree possession of marijuana after a search by deputies and the Colbert County Drug Task Force.

    The sheriff’s office said the drug task force with help from deputies executed a search warrant Monday in the 900 block of East 10th Street in Tuscumbia.

    Authorities said during the search agents found 257 fentanyl pills, 6.7 grams of marijuana and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun.

    The sheriff’s office said McCarthur was arrested and taken to the Colbert County Jail. He is being held on a $150,000 bond.
