DES MOINES, Iowa — Ingersoll LIVE is hosting its 20th annual block party Saturday featuring local music, artists, and vendors.

This family-friendly block party is hosting their annual event at a new location this year, the 2300 Block of Ingersoll Avenue. The event hosts live music, kid’s activities, entertainment, and vendors from 3 to 10 p.m.

The event is free to attend and hosts a variety of attractions and activities for participants to enjoy. Free activities such as inflatables, mini golf, face painting, balloons, mini trains, and an art station are available for kids.

At 5 p.m. the main stage will light up and local bands June Bugs DSM, The Cardinal Sound, Dick Danger Band, and The Unfortunate Sons will perform. In addition, local dance groups will be performing throughout the event.

“It is incredible that we have been celebrating with our neighbors at Ingersoll LIVE for two decades,” said Lauren Kollauf, executive director of The Avenue of Ingersoll and Grand. “This is truly a legacy event for our community, and we are excited to welcome everyone back for another great year of live music and entertainment.”

The event hopes to promote and bring together the community by featuring local businesses, artists, and nonprofit organizations.
