STATEWIDE –After a dry and sunny week, rain is supposed to arrive in Indiana on Thursday.

“Today will be our last day of nice weather with sunshine and nice temperatures,” said Cody Moore, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

Moore says the rainfall comes in Thursday with multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms looking likely.

“The main concern is Thursday night into Friday where many places could get at least two inches of rain,” said Moore.

Flooding is a concern, especially in low-lying areas.

“There’s also a potential for strong storms where damaging winds could also be a threat,” said Moore.

Moore says the chances for rainfall continue into the weekend as well.

“The weekend will be a little bit drier with some isolated showers in the afternoons too,” said Moore.
