Woman Arrested For Stabbing Man In Shower, Beating Him With A Baseball Bat

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — A woman is in jail in Monroe County for stabbing a man and beating him with a baseball bat while in the shower this past weekend.

Court documents say that the man who was hurt in the attack says he and Briley Turner were about to hop in the shower at an apartment in Bloomington. As they were doing that he told detectives that she grabbed a “tire plug tool with a metal spike on it” and started stabbing him.

She also took a baseball bat to his body in the attack that came out of nowhere.

The documents say police got a call from a neighbor who said they heard shouting coming from their apartment. Officers arrived and heard that same commotion so they busted down the door and found the man on the couch covered in blood.

He was taken to the hospital and is recovering.

The man told the cops that Turner had been acting strangely that evening and while at the scene of the stabbing police observed Turner saying things like “He tried to put stuff down my throat. I don’t know what he put in my throat.”

She was also hyperventilating and that man added that she had been making “jerking motions” with her arms and legs before the attack. Court records show Turner has been arrested in the past for meth possession.

Turner was arrested and taken to jail where she is now facing felony aggravated battery charges.
