Juicy deliciousness: Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market hosts Watermelon Day
Hundreds of watermelons arrived in large cardboard cases as the Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market hosted its Watermelon Day on Saturday. As watermelons are in season, vendors sold watermelon-themed and flavored goodies, along with honeydew melons, cantaloupe and, of course, lots and lots of watermelons. Sizes ranged from small, medium to large.

The cost of everything continues to creep up due to "inflation" (its really GREED because most corporations are reporting RECORD PROFITS because they are raising prices because they can, but they blame 'inflation' because the average American doesn't know any better) and many Americans are skipping out on dining out.
Smith’s Gardentown is again named one of the top 100 garden centers in North America
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Smith’s Gardentown of Wichita Falls, a 75-year-old family-owned business, has once again been named a Top 100 Garden Center in North America. Only five garden centers in Texas made the list, which was compiled by Garden Center Magazine and ranked according to sales. The other four were located in Houston, Austin, and Dallas.
Pet of the Week: Potato Wedge
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The newest Pet of the Week to appear on News Channel 6 is a playful kitten named PW, short for Potato Wedge. PW is an orange male kitten who looks exactly like his name and loves to run around his kennel. He is estimated to be 10 to 12 weeks old, and will require neutering and rabies shots as well as a $40 adoption fee.
