WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A man was tased and arrested after a woman, who is six months pregnant, was dragged off a couch and shoved twice in her abdomen where she said she was carrying their baby, according to police.

Colt Montgomery has posted bonds and been released on his charges of assault of a pregnant person and evading arrest.

Police received a report of a domestic disturbance on Euel Street at about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.

They made contact with the victim, who said she and Montgomery, who she said is the father of her unborn child, had been arguing all day because of his drinking.

She said it culminated when he dragged her off the couch by her ankle, then, when she got back on her feet, he shoved her twice above her stomach, right where the baby is. She said she felt pain from the assault but did not want to press charges.

When officers went to make the arrest, they said Montgomery would not come out of the house after they knocked.

Later, they said he came out and tried to close a chain link fence gate, and as officers approached and told him to stop, he headed back toward the front door. When he got there, he reportedly tried to slam it shut, but an officer tased him and took him into custody.
