    Cloudy start to the week, below average temperatures for the region

    WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Mostly cloudy skies for the start of the workweek, the area will continue to see isolated showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon hours. Temperatures will peak into upper 80s and lower 90s for thanks to the increased cloud coverage. Tonight, overnight lows will fall back down into the mid to upper 60s.

    Tuesday, cloud coverage will continue to break up with very isolated showers and storms possible during the afternoon. Less cloud coverage will help some locations bounce back into the mid to upper 90s for the middle of the week and will carry into the weekend.

    Week’s end and into the weekend, mostly sunny skies as temperatures will return to the 90s and near triple digits. Winds will begin to turn out of south for the second half of the workweek with those southerly winds increasing during for the weekend as some breezy conditions are expected to return for Saturday.
