WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A repeat domestic violence offender is back behind bars after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

On Wednesday, July 24, around 2:50 a.m. Wichita Falls police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Wilson on a possible assault.

Officers heard a disturbance and found a man on top of a woman in a bedroom, choking her.

The man was identified as 26-year-old Nicholas Farleigh.

The victim stated that she and Farleigh had been dating for around six months, and he had become unstable over the last few days.

She said they had begun arguing and when she tried to go inside, he chased and tackled her, then punched her all over her body.
