WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A Wichita Falls man is now listed among Texoma’s Most Wanted less than six months after he was sentenced to probation for sexually assaulting an intoxicated teenage girl at a party on New Year’s in 2022.

PREVIOUS STORY: Man pleads to raping intoxicated teen at party

Nathan Alexander Jones, 29, is wanted for violating his probation sentence for sexual assault of a child. On Friday, July 26, 2024, he was listed among five individuals in the Wichita Falls Area Crime Stoppers’ weekly Texoma’s Most Wanted list.

Jones was sentenced to 10 years of community supervision on March 1, 2024, after he pled guilty to sexual assault of a child in the 78th District Court.

On April 4, 2024, a motion to adjudicate guilt was filed by the Wichita County District Attorney’s Office, alleging Jones had committed multiple violations of his probation sentence.

According to the motion, a Wichita County Bond Supervision officer witnessed Jones in a bar and drinking alcohol on March 29, 2024, both of which violated the conditions of his community supervision sentence.

Jones is also accused of failing to complete his community service hours, failing to register as a sex offender in Corsicana within seven days, failing to participate in the computer restriction and monitoring program, and using a cell phone, although he is forbidden from doing so.

LOCAL NEWS: Did Wichita Falls have another earthquake Friday morning?

According to police, officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department responded to United Regional on New Year’s Eve 2022 for a report of sexual assault.

The victim’s mother told officers her daughter had gone to a party with some friends, that she had become intoxicated, and that she was raped by Jones. The victim said Jones brought alcohol to the party and that drugs were also being used.

The victim also told police she had informed Jones she was 15 years old before becoming intoxicated. She said Jones had sex with her before she blacked out, but when she came to, Jones told her he didn’t know she was 15 and that he had a wife and children.

Witnesses at the party corroborated the victim’s story. After Jones initially agreed to be interviewed by police, he never showed up for the interview and stopped cooperating with law enforcement.

Authorities obtained a warrant to collect Jones’ DNA, and the lab results showed probable cause that the DNA found on the victim was that of Jones.

Community members who have any information regarding the whereabouts of Jones or any of the other known fugitives are encouraged to submit their tips to Crime Stoppers anonymously online or by calling (940) 322-9888.

Crime Stoppers also urged community members never to attempt to apprehend a suspect themselves but instead submit a tip, which could lead to a cash reward with Crime Stoppers board approval.
