Wichita police have arrested two people believed to be involved in an attack with acid that occurred on last month in W. Wichita.

At about noon on May 26, officers responded to a disturbance. The victim, an 18-year-old woman, later arrived at a hospital with second-degree burns to the face and neck, believed to be caused by a suspect throwing an acidic liquid on the victim during a physical fight. This is not believed to be a random attack.

Investigators with the WPD Felony Assault unit along with patrol officers began looking for three suspects.

On June 5, Officers with the Patrol North Community Response Team located and arrested two suspects, an 18-year-old woman from Park City, and an 18-year-old woman from Wichita, both for aggravated battery.

Investigators are still looking for a third suspect, a 16-year-old girl from Topeka.

If you have information related to this case, please call investigators at 316-268-4407 or make an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
