WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A chase by the Kansas Highway Patrol led to a crash in north Wichita Monday evening. Two people have been injured.

According to KHP Lieutenant Aaron McGuire, around 8:30 p.m., a deputy noticed a stolen tag on a van. When the deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the van fled.

During the short pursuit, McGuire says the van crashed into another vehicle. The crash was minor, and no injuries were reported.

The driver had critical injuries, and the passenger had serious injuries. Both were taken to a local hospital for the treatment of their injuries.

The van was later found to be stolen as well.
