    Wichita airport: Passengers increase in May

    WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport reported that 84,966 passengers boarded flights out of the airport during the month of May.

    The increase was 4% over May 2023. May’s enplanements were just .1% less than May 2019’s record high of 85,022. For the first five months of 2024, enplanements are up 1% over the same period in 2019.

    There were 32 average weekday departures compared to 28 in May 2023. The airlines operated 14.7% more flights and 4.5% more seats than in May 2023.
