Busy Wichita interchange to see another ramp closure

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Another ramp will close, and one will reopen at the interchange of U.S. Highway 54 (Kellogg/U.S. 400) and Interstate 135.

Ramp closing

On Tuesday, July 23, the Kansas Department of Transportation will close eastbound U.S. 54 to northbound I-135. The project will include milling, patching, and a concrete overlay on each side. KDOT says the work will last until October.

Ramp opening

As work starts there, the I-135 northbound ramp to westbound U.S. 54 (Kellogg) will reopen. Work will conclude on Tuesday. The project involved milling, patching and a concrete overlay.

Work began on the ramps in April when the I-135 southbound ramp to westbound U.S. 54 was repaired .
