A plucky Texas teen delivered a brilliant clapback to a crabby customer who called her a “bitch” over a misunderstanding at a small-town snow cone shop, video shows.

The middle-aged woman lost her cool on the 17-year-old and her younger coworker, who were working at Keke’s Snow Balls in Willis, Texas, Saturday, over a snow cone she’d apparently purchased ahead of time.

“I was up here two days ago and I put $6 on my account and said ‘If my daughter comes up here can she come get her a snow cone?'” the woman said, according to footage posted to Keke’s TikTok account , which boasts 23,000 followers.

“Y’all said ‘yes,’ but when she comes all the way up here you said ‘no.’ I need my $6 back.”

After the younger of the two girls asked a question, the woman repeated her story and again demanded her $6.

I am on a mission to improve how we handle situations as adults. Today at Keke’s Snow Balls, one of our sweetest employees was called a derogatory name by a customer. This customer came in defensive over an issue from two days ago. Here’s what happened: A few days ago, the customer ordered a snowball and asked to prepay for one for her daughter. Though we don’t usually do this, our team agreed. However, due to a shift change, there was confusion. When we refunded her, and closed the window, a sign fell. The customer returned, pushed the sign, and insulted our employee. I am proud of our supervisor’s handling of the situation. While businesses often face complaints, it’s rare to highlight mistreatment of staff. We have permission from our employee’s parents to post this, with the customer’s face blurred out. We must strive for better behavior and respect in all interactions. #customerservice #customersbelike #coworkers #angrycustomer

The 17-year-old supervisor then came over and popped open the register, removed the cash and handed it to the woman, who stalked off without a word. As the woman left, the manager slid the service window shut and a small sign on the exterior counter fell over.

At that point, the woman stormed back and called the teen a “bitch” while slapping the sign aside.

The pigtailed teen didn’t miss a beat.

“Ma’am, please don’t act like that, you’re a grown woman! You’re a grown woman — I’m 17,” the girl said, as the woman yelled back something about slamming windows.

“Get out of here, don’t come back, don’t come back. We don’t need your business.”

In the TikTok post, Keke described the quick-thinking supervisor as “one of our sweetest employees,” and explained that there had been a shift change between when the woman prepaid for the snow cone and when her daughter arrived to pick it up.

“I am proud of our supervisor’s handling of the situation. While businesses often face complaints, it’s rare to highlight mistreatment of staff,” Keke’s wrote.”We must strive for better behavior and respect in all interactions.”

“I am on a mission to improve how we handle situations as adults,” the shop added.
