A Willow Springs organization was awarded spay and neuter grants from the Missouri Department of Agriculture Animal Care Facilities Act.

Grant funds are designated to eligible organizations that provide low-cost spaying and/or neutering of dogs and cats for individuals who could not normally afford those services.

Donations from the sale of “I’m Pet Friendly” specialty license plates generate the grant money awarded to Missouri organizations, including the Ozarks Pet Rescue of Willow Springs. (417-372-9820)

The goal of the fund is to provide grants to nonprofit organizations or governmental agencies to enable spaying and neutering of dogs and cats in order to reduce the surplus of these animals in Missouri. Grants are distributed to selected agencies for their efforts through local and regional spay and neuter initiatives.
