Beautiful end to the workweek on tap
A cold front has moved through the Valley and that'll bring some much needed relief from the uncomfortable humidity. As the upper level portion of this system moves through, we could see a shower or storm this afternoon, but most will stay dry. As high pressure builds in behind this front Friday, we'll see plenty of sunshine and hold onto this refreshing feel. This high dominates our forecast into the weekend too with more sun and comfy conditions. The wind does turn back around from the south though late in the weekend and that starts to boost our temps back up. The one plus is it'll take some time to tap back into the humidity. Afternoon readings on Saturday top out around 90 and same for Sunday, but dew points will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s. The moisture in the air continues to increase into early next week with yet another heat wave unfolding. A couple storms are possible too with some weak disturbances moving through the upper atmosphere. A stronger system looks to move in by the middle to latter half of next week. That area of low pressure brings the chance for more widespread showers and storms Wednesday into Thursday. The unsettled trend holds with more storms possible Friday into next weekend as yet another disturbance dives in our direction. We don't really get an influx of cooler air behind that system either, with afternoon readings expected in the lower to middle 90s through Saturday. The heat wave continues with highs in the lower to middle 90s through the first weekend of August.
