The Dodgers have signed veteran shortstop Nick Ahmed. He’ll take the active roster spot of Miguel Rojas, who was placed on the injured list with a forearm issue. Rojas, 35, hasn’t played since leaving midway through Sunday’s game against the Boston Red Sox with what was described at the time as relatively minor right forearm stiffness. He has a .271 batting average, three home runs, 21 RBIs, and a .722 OPS in 192 at-bats this season.

July 26, 2024 – LONG BEACH, CA - Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced on Thursday that Rahman. Abdallah and Raylon Akers have been charged with allegedly murdering a street corn vendor, Yener Ramirez, in the city of Long Beach on March 20. Another man, James Havlicheck, also was charged with accessory after the fact in the killing of Ramirez.
