SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – QDOBA announced plans to open 30 restaurants across North Carolina and South Carolina over the next four years.

The Mexican fast casual restaurant signed a franchise agreement with Thrive Restaurant Group to open the new locations in the Carolinas.

QDOBA said the focus of the new expansion will be in areas such as Greenville, Myrtle Beach, and Columbia in South Carolina along with Greenville and Wilmington in North Carolina.

Thrive Restaurant Group currently operates 13 Applebee’s restaurants across the Upstate and western North Carolina.

“QDOBA is an exceptionally well-positioned brand in the most attractive restaurant category and I’m confident Thrive will help us unlock our full potential in the Carolinas,” said John Cywinski, CEO of QDOBA.

QDOBA currently has locations in the Charlotte area and briefly had a location at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.
