Nash deputies seek missing teen

Authorities are searching for a runaway teenager last seen at Southern Nash High School who’s believed to be staying in Wilson County.

Makia Ellis, 17, was most recently seen at Southern Nash on May 22, the Nash County Sheriff’s Office said in a Tuesday post to its Facebook page.

“She is believed to be with a male named Ali (Unknown last name) in the Wilson County area,” the advisory states, adding that Ellis may be staying in the Westbrook Drive area of Wilson.

Ellis is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds.

Anyone who sees Ellis or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Nash County Sheriff’s Office detective at 252-557-5460 or the Nash County Communication Center at 252-459-4121.
