    COLUMBIA BASIN — This week, the Basin has plenty of fun ahead with comedy, shiny cars, live music and a chance to support local athletes.

    July 19

    Comedy Night

    Live comedy with Adam Tiller and Nate Ford. Tiller, from Seattle, is a comedian, podcaster and writer and was a semifinalist in the 2022 Seattle International Comedy Competition. Ford has been seen on “Last Comic Standing” and heard on “The Prairie Home Companion.” 9 p.m. at the Harvest Moon Saloon, 213 Railroad St., Wilson Creek.     2024 Car Show & Shine

    The Ephrata Chamber of Commerce invites the public to visit its annual car show or participate if they have a vehicle they want to show to the public. Attendance is free for those who just want to check the cars out and registration is $25 for those who would like to enter their car into the show. Registration is available at www.ephratachamber.org. Call the chamber at 509-754-4656 for more information. The event is held along Third Avenue in front of the Grant County Courthouse in downtown Ephrata.

    Live music and cold cider

    Rylei Franks will be playing live at Discovery Cider Company in Ephrata. Music starts at 7 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. Franks performs acoustic rock and is set to put smiles on the audience’s faces. 237 S. Basin Street SW, Ephrata. https://bit.ly/CDRMUSIC

    Playing with Clay: Create your own critter

    Children’s art activity where they can delve into a messy craft and use their imaginations. Staff will contribute ideas and the kids will have access to all the tools they need.     Dolz Coffee Shop grand opening

    Quincy Crafternoon

    Bingo at the Taproom

    Dimestore Prophets

    Farmer’s Market in Ephrata

    July 28

    Running Lore

    Pat Tyson and Phil English, both hall of fame coaches, will hold a workshop at Moses Lake High School to discuss coaching tips, running lore and answer questions. Coaches are encouraged to bring up to 10 athletes each to listen in. Everyone is welcome and proceeds go to support Community Athletics and Activities, a nonprofit organized to fund athletics and activities in light of ongoing financial strains with the Moses Lake School District. $100 admission.
