Coulee City postal delivery driver reflects on 40 years of service
COULEE CITY, Wash. — Could you ever imagine doing the same job for four decades?. One local postal delivery driver has exactly done that. Ronald Lee Hughes has been serving the same route in Coulee City, Washington for the past 40 years as a contract route delivery driver. According to USPS, Hughes started working for the Coulee City Post Office as a substitute contract driver.
Wildfire 75 percent contained in White Swan, all evacuations lifted
WHITE SWAN, Wash. - Yakima Valley fire crews contained a wildfire that burned one home and put most of White Swan on evacuation notice late Monday night. The fire began just after 5 p.m. on July 22 on Wesley Road and White Swan Road near the Yakama Forest Products log yard. According to a White Swan Community Center volunteer, an elder's home was lost in the fire.

Gator on the loose in Washington!
Quite the incident happened near the 9400 block of Ray Grade Rd. in Snohomish County over the weekend. Reports came in to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Department and Washington State Fish and Wildlife for a 10-foot-long ferocious man-eating gator! Was it really painted as a ferocious man-eating monster? Probably not, but I'd like to think so. This call came in for this 10-foot gator, and people were very freaked out. The Snohomish County Sheriff and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife were aware of the sighting, and they made a post about it on social media. That post was shared hundreds of times. When sheriffs and wildlife officials arrived, they were shocked to see it wasn't a gator at all.
