Hunt High announces fall sports tryout schedule

Hunt High athletic director Jon Smith announced the starting dates and times for tryouts for all the Warriors fall sports teams for the upoming 2024-25 school year.

The opening day of practice for football, boys soccer, volleyball and cross-country will be Wednesday, July 31, while girls golf and girls tennis will commence Thursday, Aug. 1.

Smith said there will be a meeting for parents of all fall sports athletes on Monday, Aug. 5, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Susan Powers Performing Arts Center.

These are the practice schedules for the first week:

• Boys soccer — Wednesday, July 31 – Friday, Aug. 2, 6-7:30 p.m.

• Cross-country — Wednesday, July 31 – Friday, Aug. 2, 8-9:30 a.m. (at track)

• Football — Wednesday, July 31 – Friday, Aug. 2, 7:30-10 a.m.

• Girls golf — Thursday, Aug. 1 – Friday, Aug. 2, 6-7:30 p.m. (Willow Springs Country Club)

• Girls tennis — Thursday, Aug. 1 – Friday, Aug. 2, 8-10 a.m.

• Volleyball — Wednesday, July 31 – Friday, Aug. 2, 3-5 p.m.
