Chicago expands historic lawsuit against Glock to go after parent company, local retailers
CHICAGO - The City of Chicago expanded its "first-of-its-kind" lawsuit against Glock to include the gun manufacturer's parent company and two Chicago-area gun retailers. The lawsuit, filed in March, claimed Glock "unreasonably" put Chicagoans in danger by manufacturing and selling guns that could easily be converted into illegal machine guns with a cheap device known as a "Glock switch."

LANSING, Ill. (July 23, 2024) – The Village Board has given final approval to an ordinance that establishes a budget and appropriations for Fiscal Year 2025. The ordinance was approved by a vote of 5-0 (with Trustee Leo Valencia absent) at the Village Board’s July 16 meeting, which followed a public hearing on the matter that included a presentation by Finance Director Brian Hanigan.
