Kentucky State University Awarded $7 Million Grant for Soilless Agriculture Research
Kentucky State University has been awarded a seven million dollar grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for a new AgTech research project. The project is titled “Driving AgTech Research and Education in Kentucky (DARE-KY)” and the goal is to support inclusive network building, impactful research, and workforce development for soilless food systems.
Abby Jackson hired as KHSAA Assistant Commissioner
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association introduced the newest addition to its staff on June 24 with the hiring of Assistant Commissioner Abby Jackson. “Abby brings a wealth of experience in coaching, student services, and athletics administration to the staff as we head into this next phase of championship expansion and continued service to our member schools and students who are enrolled in them,” said KHSAA Commissioner Julian Tackett. “We were presented with a deep pool of outstanding applicants who did a fantastic job during the interview process, and the existing senior leadership team gleaned a lot from those extended sessions. In the end, Abby certainly impressed our leadership team in her interview sessions and seems an ideal fit for our staff.”
