Nam Knights of America is an American military veteran and law enforcement motorcycle club, and they have a chapter right here in Seacoast New Hampshire. The group meets up all over our great state for camaraderie and community service. They help veterans who are on fixed incomes pay their bills, they lead hunting and fishing trips for disabled veterans, and any profits made from the events are 100% given back to the community.
2-alarm fire displaces residents from Somerville Street building, Manchester
MANCHESTER — A two-alarm fire on Friday afternoon forced several people out of a multi-unit building on Somerville Street, with one firefighter sustaining minor injuries. Calls reporting the blaze at 741 Somerville Street began at around 3 p.m., with one individual alerting the nearby fire station in person upon seeing smoke emanating from the property.
Georgetown Water Department Notifies Residents of Upcoming Service Interruption Due to Water Main Maintenance
GEORGETOWN – The Georgetown Water Department will need to create a service interruption next week due to necessary water main maintenance in Town. From Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, crews from J.P. Cardillo & Son Inc. will be in Town prepping for maintenance on the water mains at Central, Andover and West Main streets.
Suspect in 2023 Lynn double homicide arrested in Londonderry
LONDONDERRY — A suspect wanted in connection with a double homicide in Lynn, Massachusetts, last year was arrested Thursday afternoon in Londonderry, local authorities said. Justin Alba, 25, of Lynn, was taken into custody around 2:45 p.m. following a traffic stop at the intersection of Forest Street and Moore Road.
Reading unified basketball program keeps growing
In the spring of 2023, Reading High officially started a unified basketball program. Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding. According to Special Olympics, in Unified Sports, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability. That makes practices more fun and games more challenging and exciting for all. Having sport in common is just one more way that preconceptions and false ideas are swept away.
