Earlier this year, Continental Wine Collection (CWC)—the company that owns labels Broken Earth Winery , CV Wines , and Pull Wines —acquired the historic Wild Horse Winery & Vineyard estate. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in CWC’s commitment to legendary vineyards within the Paso Robles AVA.

Over at Broken Earth Winery, they are finding new ways to elevate guest experiences and push the limits of what wine is and can be for an aficionado or a beginner alike. One fun way to challenge perception is the introduction of tasting in black glasses. This style of glass acts as a double blind—as they are made from solid black crystal, this vessel removes all visual cues for the drinker. It allows a non-biased approach to the wine being tasted to trick and ultimately test the senses.

Broken Earth’s expert tasting room staff guides guests as they sip and savor their way through a variety of Broken Earth wines. Can the subtle notes and characteristics of each pour be identified without the help of sight? It’s a delicious challenge that will leave taste buds intrigued and wine knowledge expanded. Perfect for both seasoned aficionados and curious newcomers, the Black Glass Tasting is more than just an event—it’s an unforgettable adventure into the world of wine. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills or simply enjoy a unique outing, this experience promises to be a highlight of your weekend.

Tickets for the Black Glass Tasting are available at a rate of $45 per person. Reservations are encouraged, but not required.
