Winfield Man Charged 144 Times for High Speed Chase
SUNBURY — NorthcentralPA.com is reporting… A Winfield man was arrested after he fled from police at speeds of more than 150 mph during a traffic stop in Sunbury. Sunbury Police Officer Riley Bremigen pulled over Thomas Donrfrancesco the night of June 7 after he noticed the white 2008 BMW 650i he was driving had a headlight out. Donrfrancesco, 51, told police he was heading to his girlfriend’s house. Bremigen noticed a scale with a powdery substance inside the car and a bag of a white powdery substance which he believed to be cocaine, according to the affidavit.

Bloomsburg, Pa. — A woman lied about her husband's income to collect more than $7,000 worth of assistance from the state, officials say. Morgan B. Adee, 32, applied for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) on Sept. 20, 2021, according to Ruth Gola of the State Inspector General's office. Adee told a caseworker she lived with her husband, Matthew, and her four children. Adee was working at The Gardens at Orangeville, but her husband was unemployed, she reportedly said. ...
Unruly man arrested at Walmart
Selinsgrove, Pa. — A Sunbury man became irate Tuesday at a Walmart store over lost property, police say. Dale Lau, 30, was arrested after police were called around 5 p.m. July 2 to Selinsgrove Walmart for a report of him screaming and swearing with his shirt off, according to Trp. Derek Gill of state police at Selinsgrove. Gill said Lau was upset over property he lost in the store. The property was returned to him prior to police arriving. Charges of disorderly conduct were filed at the office of District Judge Scott A. Zeigler.
Theft reported at Union County coffee shop
Mifflinburg, Pa. — Someone broke into a coffee shop trailer over the weekend in Union County and took several hundred dollars, according to police. Trp. Hill of state police at Milton says the weekend of June 29 and 30, the unknown suspect broke into IV Coffee Co.'s trailer on Red Barn Road in Buffalo Township and took $300. The coffee shop made a post Monday on their Facebook page, asking the public for help with leads for the burglary incident. "Over the weekend our Mifflinburg location that holds our trailer was broken into. Hundreds of dollars taken. We have already gone through the appropriate avenue to report it and they have advised that I make a post asking for help from my followers.If you happen to have any leads or heard any talk of someone bragging about this, please contact me (Kari) or Trooper Hill with the Pennsylvania State Police," the post read. "And just a gentle reminder that every single little dollar makes an impact for small businesses like mine that pay for our electric bill, little league for my boy and so much more."
