Community fund to honor late standout Lehighton football star
LEHIGHTON, Pa. -- The Carbon County community is creating a fund to honor a Lehighton graduate and football player who passed away in 2008. Shane Smith was a standout athlete. Now, some of his former teammates and friends have come together to establish a donor-advised fund in his name at the Carbon County Community Foundation.
