Interim principals appointed at W.R. Coile Middle and Whitehead Elementary in Clarke County
Two veteran educators have been appointed to fill interim principal positions at two schools in Clarke County. District Superintendent Robbie Hooker this week announced that April Braswell was appointed for W.R. Coile Middle School. County Stormwater Fee to Rise by almost $15 per Property, fees to repair and replace culverts
Starting this month, Athens-Clarke County residents may see an increase on one of their bills—the stormwater utility fee. On average, Athens-Clarke County property owners will see an increase of $14 on their stormwater utility fee, the first time this fee has risen since 2005. Collected fees are exclusively used on stormwater programs around the county, like replacing and repairing culverts. The stormwater utility fee applies to both taxable and tax-exempt properties.
