WINTERVILLE, Pitt County NC — Police in Winterville are looking to identify Door Dash drivers after a theft happened at a local Pizza Hut last Thursday. Surveillance pictures show two males entering the restaurant located at 701 W Fire Tower Road in Winterville on June 27 at approximately 1:45 p.m.

Schools to make opioid overdose drug available on campuses
Pitt County Schools will make a drug that can reverse opioid overdose available on campuses beginning in August. The Board of Education last week unanimously approved a policy making the drug naloxone available for emergency use beginning with the 2024-25 school year. Parole check in Vanceboro leads to arrest, firearms and cocaine seized
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office say two people are now behind bars facing multiple charges following a parolee check on Sunday, June 30. Probation officers and deputies searched a home on NC 43 S in Vanceboro Sunday evening at approximately 7:21 pm where they seized three firearms, over 4 grams of cocaine and digital scales.
