ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke City and Alleghany Health Districts have issued an air quality alert for the greater Roanoke Valley area. New Mural underway on Church Ave in Downtown Roanoke
ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR)– A new mural is underway in Downtown Roanoke on the corner of Church Street and Williamson Road. The mural is a painting of the Norfolk and Western 1218 steam engine currently at the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke. According to the museum, the train is one of the most important and historic trains in history. It is the last remaining example of the Norfolk and Western famed 2-6-6-4 A class steam locomotives.

Roanoke, Virginia – Residents of the neighborhood around Kermit-Vale Avenue are set to experience a change in traffic flow starting Friday, July 26.
